Summit Micro School is a neurodiverse-affirming learning environment where many students with ADHD, giftedness, and specific learning disabilities thrive—not because of added supports, but because our program is intentionally designed to meet their needs. Our hands-on, project-based approach values flexibility, autonomy, movement, and diverse ways of thinking, creating an engaging and meaningful experience for students who may struggle in traditional settings.
We are deeply committed to understanding and supporting neurodivergent learners. Our educators receive ongoing training in the latest research on neurodiversity, and our inclusive school community fosters acceptance, respect, and self-advocacy. While we provide structured guidance for transitions, expectations, and communication, Summit is not a therapeutic environment. We do not offer intensive behavioral interventions, continuous one-on-one support, medical care, or specialized therapy. Instead, we focus on fostering independence and self-regulation within a classroom-based setting, ensuring that students can engage in learning without ongoing distress that significantly disrupts their own or others’ experiences.
Not sure if Summit is the right fit for your child? Our readiness tool can help you assess whether our approach aligns with your child’s current skills and support needs.
